AVS modules

new generation of vibration monitoring systems

AVS modules

AVS are miniature industrial systems for vibration and temperature monitoring with built-in signal processing, all enclosed in a sensor-sized housing.

They enable the direct reading of selected parameters, such as Peak-to-Peak and RMS (velocity and acceleration), as well as temperature values, directly from the module using any device that supports the Modbus RS-485 communication protocol. Additionally, AVS modules are characterised by very low cost and high ease of implementation.

Advantages

Signal processing directly in the sensor

AVS series modules feature built-in electronics that enable signal processing directly within the sensor and allow for the reading of basic estimates without the need for advanced machine condition monitoring systems, significantly reducing implementation costs.

Reading sensor values via the Modbus RS-485 protocol

AVS series modules enable direct communication using the Modbus RS-485 standard, which is widely used in industrial automation. This allows data to be read from the sensors using a PLC or any other device that supports this protocol, which may already be part of the existing infrastructure.

Access your data from anywhere. Cloud service – AVM Cloud

AVS series modules enable the transmission of measurement data to the AVM Cloud system – a cloud-based platform that provides access to information from anywhere in the world.AVM Cloud allows for the simultaneous connection of multiple measurement systems, offers data visualization on a customizable dashboard, generates measurement reports, and notifies users of warnings and alarms when predefined thresholds are exceeded.

Integrated temperature measurement - one sensor, many functions!

The AVS series modules are equipped with a built-in temperature sensor. Simultaneous vibration and temperature measurement allows for a comprehensive picture of the monitored object’s condition. Integrating a vibration sensor with a temperature sensor not only reduces costs but also simplifies the installation process.

Up to 100 sensors on one cable!

The AVS series modules allow for the serial connection of up to 100 sensors in one circuit. Thanks to this, the entire installation can be carried out using a single 4-wire cable, which significantly reduces costs, simplifies installation and increases the transparency of the entire system on the site.

Easy, quick and cheap installation

The AVS series modules are equipped with 5-pin M12 connectors, which are standard in the industry. This allows easy connection of modules using ready-made cables and T-connectors, which simplifies and speeds up installation.

High flexibility in making connections

AVS series modules can be connected in series, parallel and mixed systems, which provides great flexibility when designing the installation and allows for a significant reduction in its costs.

Low implementation cost, no need to use a data processing system

The AVS series modules, thanks to the built-in signal processing electronics, do not require external signal processing systems. They can be directly connected to any device supporting the RS-485 protocol, such as a PLC controller, which significantly reduces implementation costs.

One sensor, many possible uses

AVS series modules allow for a number of different applications thanks to the wide range of integration possibilities with other systems. The entire system can be perfectly adapted to the user’s needs. Possible uses:

AVS-Link – the ability to configure, update the module software and read and export values from a single module

AVM 4000i – the ability to simultaneously read data from multiple modules and perform in-depth data analysis in the VIBNavigator program

AVM Gate – the ability to simultaneously read data from multiple modules and send data to the cloud (AVM Cloud)

AVM Cloud – the ability to view the status of machines (module indications) from anywhere in the world, notifications of exceeded values, reporting, configurable dashboard SCADA systems / PLC controllers – the indications of AVS series modules can be read on any system supporting the RS-485 protocol, which is already installed on the facility or in the device.

High resistance to difficult working conditions

The AVS series modules comply with the IP67 standard, and their housing is made of stainless steel, which ensures high resistance to almost all unfavorable environmental conditions.

Miniature monitoring system

The AVS series modules, thanks to the use of MEMS type transducers, have made it possible to significantly reduce the size of the sensor together with the built-in signal processing electronics. This has allowed the entire measurement system to be placed in a compact housing measuring 50 mm x 22 mm.

Application

Depending on the chosen method, the sensors can read the raw vibration signal or calculate advanced diagnostic estimates (aRMS, vRMS, P-P). Communication via the Modbus protocol ensures the immediate availability of diagnostic data in PLC controllers and DCS/SCADA systems.

The AVS 1001HF and AVS 1003LF series devices are distinguished by, among others:

  • low noise level,
  • wide frequency range
  • and dynamic range, until recently unheard of among vibration sensors based on MEMS technology.
